Aims and Scope

MMJ is open access, peer-reviewed, publishing medical journal available in print and online. MMJ aims to provide professional health personnel in the field of military medicine with essential knowledge supported by the highest level of evidence and to establish bridges between military medicine disciplines and civilian health care sector.  

The Journal covers all aspects of health care related to military personnel, veterans and their families, articles from different specialties (e.g. Psychiatry, pediatrics, oncology, and health administration) are welcomed, provided that they are within the journal scope.

▪      Trauma and emergency medicine.

▪      Aerospace and aviation medicine.

▪      Marine and diving medicine.

▪      Management of mass causalities.

▪      Infectious Diseases.

▪      CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) medical countermeasures.

▪      Mass casualty readiness and response.

▪      Environmental medicine

▪      Military training.

▪      Health care system.

▪      Clinical issues related to armed conflict and it's own effect on the civilian's sector including mass disaster and terrorism. 

Other topics:

Basic and translational research, medical education, bio-engineering and bio-informatics are also welcomed within the declared editorial policy.

Interdisciplinary topics:

Articles covering interdisciplinary areas are strongly encouraged.
